OK. I'm sorry, but this has been driving me crazy. Why do your posts have random periods throughout them?

I'm going to decipher this as "Why didn't our US version come with steering wheel audio controls?"

The answer to that question is because the steering wheel audio controls were only fitted to models without an airbag. The airbag was standard in the US.

So far as I know, they were only for the JDM market since the controls were matched to their audio systems. They did not come out on the Au/NZ spec vehicles. You're right though, only on non-airbag wheels.
