Can we fix it?!......eh...probably not.

My beloved "Killer Tomato" is now a dead tomato. The result of a woman in a SUV with two kids in the car while talking on the phone and trying to make the light before it turned red....

I'll be getting the car back and probably parting it out. I highly doubt I would be able to revive the car from this. I'm ok. No injuries other than a headache, a sore ring finger, and a rash on my chin from the airbag. So RIP Killer Tomato. May your parts help other SVXs in need.

So sad to see this happen, but good to know you are ok. When did the accident happen?

About 7:30pm last night. I'm so glad that I hadn't put on my Euro Tailbar yet.

I have no idea how insurance works over there but doesn't the woman's insurance company have to pay for a full repair or new equivalent car?

Awful, such a nice SVX too. It looks pretty bad, I have to agree, I don't think insurance company will be willing to repair that. I'm thinking Wynndi's car would be good for you if you were in the mind to replace it.

Re: Can we fix it?!......eh...probably not.

Anything can be repaired / I personally would fight it . The woman deserves to have to pay for it , and have the phone shoved up ------------
We have repaired much worse. The air bags did more damage than the rest of the repair work. True you have easily more repair than the car is worth . Tell the insurance either repair or replace it .
Is that one of the Carbon fiber hoods or just an added scoop

glad to hear you are ok but sad to see the car isn't. Go after them for all it is worth and then some.

That'll buff right out.....

Glad you're ok...Looks almost identical to the damage on my parts car...

Yeah, it's fixable, but you'd be better off finding a similar replacement for it, and swap the good parts over (Hood, ect.) and using it as a parts car.

Keep us up on what happens with it.

Aside from the rear end and the passenger front wheel (from hitting a curb) everything is still in good shape. I don't believe that the windshield cracked, but I will have to look closely in the daylight. As I told OT, once I get the car back I will look at the damage and go from there. I will not be totally SVX-less because I still have my claret (although it doesn't have remote start like this car :roll eyes: ). So we will see... If I decide to part the car, I will post on here of course.
