Re: snow?

Aspirations for flakes over the weekend. Then it goes back to the 50's, middle of next week. Hopefully, they won't salt until the end of the month!

Re: snow?

I am so ready to ski, but sadly it is not cold enough yet in Pennsylvania.

Re: snow?

Not yet but I did get the snow tires on today. We don't get much snow here unless you are in the mountains but it looks like we might see some in the next couple of days.

Re: snow?

We had a few inches, but the roads have been clear and dry for a few days.

Still haven't got snow tires and I really don't see the point anymore.

Get outta mah forum, eh!!! *gets shotgun*

We've got some here in Thunder Bay. Got ~10 cm a week or so ago and it's actually stayed. There should be a decent bit falling over the weekend. The 240SX is an absolute blast so far. I have to get used to not mashing the gas off the line and depending on the AWD to sort everything out, I can spin up the rear tires in third gear from idle and fourth with just a bit of a kick. Having 800 lbs or so less than the SVX means it stops much better in the snow, even with the Blizzaks on the Subie and cheapo snows on the Nissan. It's also the easiest thing in history to drive sideways.

It's actually coming down fairly hard right now... Going to be a fun drive to school!

I know what you mean, My mom's car is a 2000 Mustang so i drove that 2 winters b4 getting my impreza. mind you i had about 150lbs of weight in the trunk to get some decent traction lol, it was also fun shifting lanes with the back end entering first.

I'm thinking ot make a drive to ottawa at somepoint to visit a few friends, maybe we can meet up while i'm in the area

Re: snow?

Wee, this thing is wicked fun now that I've got a feel for it. I'm really enjoying that it doesn't need the same speed the SVX does to get wideways and have fun. I also find the 4EAT makes the SVX a bit unpredictable in the snow, whereas the 5-speed in the 240 is super consistent in where it will break traction and slide. We've got 20-25cm of snow forecast over the next 2 days.
