More power window problems

I broke the little clip that attaches the cable to the bottom of the window. No problem, I purchased a new one.

I ran the cable around both pulleys, and I can get the window up, but when I press down, it goes down, and then back up

????

And there is a HUGE amount of slack in the cable???

WTF???

Really need some help here.

look at all this slack!!!! Whats going on???

Re: More power window problems

I can't tell all that much just by looking at the pictures. If I were you I'd take off the passenger door card to compare though.

Re: More power window problems

I'm assuming that the passenger side is an exact mirror image of the driver side?

Re: More power window problems

I figured it out.....

The cable got alll tangled and kinked up around the pulley.

Tried to take it apart..... re-wind it..... just ended up retangling when I pressed the switch.

Found a used regulator on eBay for about $50..... PITA install...... had to remove the entire window out of the car.

But life is much better now..... works perfect
