"Kick Tires" meet in Marysville/Everett?

It's been since mid-November since any of us in the NW have gotten together, time flies!

It looks like we'll finally get together, and in a BIG way, come June down in the Vancouver/Portland area, can't wait!

But I was thinking before then, it might be cool to do something we haven't done for a LONG time, and that's just get together at the local level and do something very informal. No big planned drives or events, just pick a burger joint and parking lot and get together one afternoon/evening and kick tires and maybe meet some new folks.

For me, local is the Puget Sound area, and knowing where several active event attendees live, I propose somewhere around Marysville or Everett, being in the middle. I also know we have a few newer members of these forums that live in those areas that we haven't had a chance to meet face to face. Meeting at something like this right in their backyards might be a good first step, and encourage them to then take the plunge to drive down to an all-day event in Portland, etc.


Any takers? Since the Gorge drive is looking to be around June 26th, I say we try to do something in the next couple weeks so there is a few weeks in between the two. Consider this a warm up to reacquaint everyone before we head down south for the big one!

We could do a Saturday/Sunday afternoon, or even just a Friday night. We could even do dinner, somewhere like Bob's Burger n Brew down by Tulalip, etc.

Since I work second shift, Mon-Fri, Saturday is the only day good for me. How about lunch at The Rock or Burgers & Brew on Saturday?

Realistally Saturday is better for me as well. I'll just have to look at the schedule and see which one works best.

Saturdays would work for me as long as its in the afternoon or later.

That is what we have these meets for. Get to know you and help you learn about your great car. Make sure you make it - you will have a great time and learn more than you can imagine.

When we drove by 'Bob's Burgers and Brew' in Marysville, this past Saturday afternoon, their parking lot was full. Not sure if we should plan on that place if it has that big a crowd every Saturday. It's next to Wal Mart so that could be the reason?

Yeah Bob's is pretty popular. I just threw it out there because it's a halfway decent place to eat and right off the freeway and easy to find (if you really can't find it, just look for the giant shiny casino and all that ).

And Marysville seems a good central location since we basically are looking at finally uniting all of the Everett/Lynnwood folks that have come here recently and Earl is up in Burlington.

But something else can work for me.

One thing that WON'T work for me is meeting this Saturday the 22nd. I am working the PBR event Fri-Sat in Everett.

You guys can carry on without me, although it was MY idea!

Plus I was hoping to do some prototype testing on two different projects side by side with some of your cars vs. mine.
