Bunch of [Esso] Bs

I agree with Dayle. Can't understand why the meet could not have been held in Dublin. Ireland.

Reckon Larryiii is suffering from sleep deprivation, and did not see the j/k joking bit.

However, right now I am putting in my case for a West Coast slot for the next one. Galway is a swinging city, they have never even seen one SVX, and we need to spread the fun around.

lol umm yeah.. I drove about 26 hours for the meet. (San Antonio, Texas - 3 hours from the Mexican border) It actually passed fast for me since I was just so excited to be going. I also got some great gas mileage which made the road trip even better!
I wished Dayle could have gone as I really wanted to see his mods/fixes for the SVX. You get more of an incentive to buy stuff when you can see it first hand. I was really really hoping to see the leather seats as I am curious how they would look on my '93. A lot of things I usually see are for the grey interior.. and that does me no good with my tan interior. Maybe some other meet I'll get to see them.

I envy you the white dash clusters. Yours must be a red one. No white clusters on a '92 Pearlie.

wow....and Im about 13 hours or so from San Antonio !! yikes...
I think the way there would of been awesome, the drive home would of been depressing....and a long drive it would of been.
Its just too hard for me to leave the keys to the shop with any of my employees, as much as I trust them......I know what would be waiting for me when I got back after 5-7 days. Next time Ill have to bite the bullet, charge all my cell phones and take my "roadtrip". Marisa, if you need any pics or any info on leather, send me an email. As for pics of the meet, the more the better, anyone gottem............post em!
Also...what did the guys who worked on the SVX brought over have to say.???? they probably thougth everyone was nuts! haha!

None of the SVXes have white faced guages except those who've installed them. The ones people are getting are an aftermarket "Indiglo" guage cluster. Check Seraph's locker for pics.

I still have pics of the white face gauges. I personally do not have them anymore. If anyone wants to install them in chicago area, let me know. I will install them for you. I have done that more than enough times I can do it with one of my hands tied behind my back under an hour . I want to do a howto on that so that other people can benifit from this install. I did not do a how-to on that while I did my install.

Would love to have made it but maybe the next one.
And that's not to say that the "next one" won't be located somewhere else. Time and distance were definitely a factor for me. As far as I know only one member made it from Washington state, and that was only because he flew in and bought a car near there. (must be nice Earl! ) I don't know the whole report, but I didn't hear of anyone from anywhere west of AZ for that matter. I'm not complaining, everyone had equal opportunity to attend and the location turned out to be perfect with all the perks it entailed. (the president, designers, etc, etc). But next time THE "officially sanctioned" meet could certainly move west a bit and still receive the same turn out I'm sure.

Anyway, there's my bid for having a "big one" west of the Rockies in '03...

More importantly at this time, congrats Larry and everyone involved in making the 10th Anniversary meet the greatest gathering of SVX enthusiasts to date! Well done and I wish I could have been there!

Whew! Just checking in now...

We made a vacation out of the whole thing, with 3 days before in Chicago, and a drive to the Great Smokies and back up the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive before heading home here in the great white north.

Michelle, that's a SHARP colour. It's not screaming at you, but has class. Has to be one of the most unique SVX out there...

Fellow Canucks, it's great to know I'm not alone up here...

Doug, hope your engine stops ticking. If it's any consolation, mine does it when it's cold too.

Larry, kudos to organizing a great memorable event.

Randy, your emotions at the dinner SAYS IT ALL about what this club is about and what it means to many of us.

To the rest of you who I did meet or just didn't have the time to meet, the event was a great success in no small part because of everyone's attendance.

Now, will someone PLEASE post some of the videos taken, especially the one on Sunday morning with the 50+ caravan heading to the Indy museum? That's definitely a keeper...

Until next time...

Okay, so we're finally home and now I'm back at work

We were home last Thurs/Fri for about 23 hrs before we headed out again. Got home yesterday around 1:30p. We drove Penny 3539 miles in 12 days. All my anxiety was discharged since she ran like an absolute dream! However, she truly does like the mountains more, she was drowning in the humidity!!
Discovered something on our 200 mile trip home yesterday: the faster I drive, the better the gas mileage. 31 miles to the gallon!!!

Again, I just want to say that I had an incredible time and I'm so sorry that it went by so fast. I second all those that say we need to have another big meet, but it needs to be a bit further west this time. Like somewhere that's dry? I'm up for Las Vegas (but not in July or August).
