This won't be like the last drive, except the same mountain and; hopefully, an "actual" view of it this time. Tell you what, if it's foggy again, then don't forget your hiking boots and a canteen. Oh yeah, some rope, bandaids,....
View, one each, guaranteed.

I got my permit to climb the mountain in late August, so I should be covered for seeing "something" this year either way.

I'm good with June 27th. Probably STILL won't have my car ready to make that kind of drive, but it's a good date for me if I decide to come in some capacity.

Thanks for making it happen guys!

You mean EG33
Cant wait to see that swap.
I dont know if I'll have my Teal up and running then, but I'll try.
But if I can make it, I'll bring something thats fun to drive.
I have alot going on in June/July/Aug, so if its 6-27 I'm not sure if I can make it.
I might be making 2 trips East this Summer.
One for the Dragon and the other to take my Dads ashes back to Maine.

Re: Mt. St. Helens No Fog Edition

So is this a go for the last Saturday in June? Sounds like Mark is in. I am too (pending getting the day off, which I should be able too). I just need to know if this is gonna be official or not, so I know if I need to get the day off.

We can post the exact details later, but the important part is the date. June 27th, start time 10-10:30am. Last time we met at a great start point right off of I-5 approx 1 hour north of Vancouver. The drive is centered around Mt. St. Helens, with several stops along the way. I know Mark mentioned the Windy Ridge route as a possible alternative (still Mt. St. Helens).

Maybe we should start a sign up(?).

1.) Mark (KVRXS)
2.) Erik & Jill (Shadabob)
3.)

Smile Re: Mt. St. Helens No Fog Edition

Hi,
Another Mt. St. Helens drive, only with a twist. Actually many twists. As in, a lot. Also seven lakes and, of course; the infamous Greek hottie.
The variation in starting time is due to a possible change in driving direction. Clockwise to counter-clockwise, depending on which choice for a restaurant. We should know more soon. For anyone coming south, your start time from home will be the same. Those driving north will have to adjust, which shouldn't be a problem, as the furthest start point from Vancouver will still be less than an hours drive.
The total drive will be longer than the last, but not outrageously more. If the mountain view alludes us again, well, then, I'll eat my hat. Could somebody bring some Tabasco, just in case?

Mark
