What's the highest mileage on an original transmission?
I read a thread on the USMB about hi-mileage Subies, and it got me thinking. Yeah I know that's not good for me
 How many miles are on the highest mileage SVX trans without any major work? Major work is opening the case for any reason, other than the strainer, which could be routine maintenance. My SVX went 246,486mi.

Just a bit higher {not much}
Hmm.. 257K plus at this point. I have just pulled the front axels, and the pan. The pan had NEVER been off, and all records show it's never been pulled. I just finished installing my PermaCool also. But I'm sure there's more out there. We don't all drive like CanonBaller's.

Mine sits at a little over 175k on the original trans.

This is a thread that should have started a long time ago. Then again, maybe it was.
My '94 sold at 90K with no problems. The current 11/91 model failed at 76K but ended up being a $1,200 disc (correct term?) replacement/upgrade. If I am to believe what the transmission shop diagnossed, one was wore out. Gene

My 1st one died at 50,000 miles
(Sorry I guess this should go on the lowest Mileage)On my second. I attribute it to the previous owners heavy foot and the California heat. Was covered by warranty.

AS far as I know, mine died at 159k at the hand of someone who didn't know what they were doing (For those who don't know my story I bought it with a dead tranny, and when I pulled the trans I discovered that the shop that put the new flex plate in, didn't have the TC fully seated and crushed the pump when they put the tranny back in)

i thiknk there is someone on this network with around 330k on their original tranny.
