So are you suggesting that any subject that an idiot politician brings up instantly becomes political by nature and is therefore verbotten?

That's a stretch. With a definition like that, every movie ever made becomes political.

To be political is to seek or excersise power in government. Frankly, there is absolutely nothing about this movie that cares one bit about power in government.

There's a lot of things you could have accused me or this movie of. Being political just isn't one of them.

I can only take what I see in the description as face value.

I honestly hope what you are saying is true.

It's a sticky subject with me, which is why it struck a chord.

So help me out here, because I'm interested to understand you.

What is it about the face value of the quote you posted that implies anything political??

Quote:
Plot: Alex Kendrick said in an interview that this film would be drama/romance about marriage. Our goal is to reinforce God's intention for marriage.

I bolded, again, the part that strikes a chord with me.

There are some very heavy religious undertones here, and perhaps I miss-worded religion with politics earlier. But these days seperation from Church and State seems a bit closer than they should be (another thread, another time).

I find it hard to swallow that statement. The Bible has changed so many times by so many different writers hands, who are they to be the ones to know His intentions (again, another thread, another time)?

Dont get me wrong, I am not a deeply religous person. In fact, I find that churchs are most times more political and corrupt than actual politics. Who knows, maybe it was just worded poorly and thats why it strikes a chord with me. Maybe when I see a preview, I will see this in a different light.

I dont really have the desire to go any deeper than this into this topic, I am very happy for you, and what you have done here. And I dont mean to diminish that.

I've seen Facing the Giants. It was a GREAT movie, very inspirational.

This being by the same group, I'm betting it's going to be just as good.

If these movies are "political" then they're endorsed by the one Man that has more power than ANY politician. .... Nuff Said.

I just want to re-iterate this sentiment.

My posts here were not meant to diminsh Paul's work, or state that he was wrong for being a part of this movie.

I merely was giving my opinion on what the plot appears to be.

If any of what I have said has come across in any way other than what I said above, I apologize.

Thank you.

I'll admit, some of the rest came a bit out of left field, but I am choosing to focus on the sentiment you just stressed, and accept the fact that I may just not get the rest.

I hope you find this work to be an encouragement.

Please don't tell me David Hasselhoff will be sitting in an SVX. Their value is about as low as it can be already!

Let's say it is prominent background.

No special powers.

The Hoff will definitely NOT be anywhere near.

There is conversation with the driver in one scene, he drives off, it is shown wrecked in the background of the next scene, and the lead sits on it during a dialogue in the next scene.

The windows will be obvious. The fact that it is a Claret LS-L will also be obvious.
