Next problem Which side is negative I see no - 0r + so am lost in the wilderness It looks to me that the biggest amount of solder may be the neg side next to the biggest round silver thingy on the right side on the chip board in the picture.

And thanks for the help

In photo 2, it would be the top right corner. And just to confirm, there is a "+" and "-" on the rear case behind where the battery goes.

Got it I've been looking at the wrong half

Now "iron heat control", thankfully I have a 8200 Weller trigger controlled iron.

Re: svx remote

On a side note.. has anyone EVER used the PIN-option to open the door?

The only use I can see for it is if you lock your keys into the car but that's a bit difficult, I guess.

How do I reset and make a new PIN anyway?

We didn't get that option here in the US.

He's in Norway

In any case, I believe only NZDM, JDM, and maybe AUDM received the "morse code" type keyless entry as an option.

Really? So Europe got PIN-based opening of door (more of a liability that a helpful feature, IMO) and tiltable headlights and US didn't? Some markets got VTD. What else is different?

Quite a bit. It's been discussed at great length over the years.

And there's the ECONOMY map activated on the stick. Anything else? Oh and I'll start a thread with those shift maps.

Funny that you say so, my car has previously struck me as being LHD JDM. Except I believe the S4s had a higher kW rating. Mine's at 169 which I believe holds for all?

Dang and I spend 6 months training in the United States Army to be a morse code intercept operator. Up side, my SXV don't speak da rangrege & I after 47 years have forgotten all morse code except s o s, which is 3dots, one dot, 3 dots, besides, I have not learned if my 20 year old repaired/new battery remote will work at all
