This sounds like a great job to have. (I really DO know what IT stands for though!) I just read it wrong when I first read it!

I am a purchasing manager, shipping & receiving manager, and warehouse manager, for a machine shop. The pay SUCKS for all the jobs I have to do. I hate my boss, hes a PIG. The only good thing is the people I actually work with, I am the only female with 24 men and they are really good about helping all the time.
I do get to look out the window at my SVX all day though!

Thumbs up

I have worked for nearly 30 years in the computer business, as a engineer / consultant / teacher / developer / helpdesk ... you name it.
Earning most MCP's, MCSE, MCSD, MCT, A+, Network+, CNA, CNE and so on...
6 months ago I got totally fed up with it
I threw in my CV at a electronic company and got a job

I now work as an R&D engineer in an company that makes "smart" phones/social alarms and so on.
Mostly I develope HW (PIC and ARM) and SW for microcontroller stuffs

That's really is fun, to work with my HOBBY ...just LOVE it

I'm a helicopter mechanic in the Navy. I do the metal work on the airframe and the hydraulics. Its a fun job, pays the bills, keeps the SVX fast, and I've learned a lot.

As for getting a big chunk of $ at one time, adding a year onto my enlistment and getting 6k for it.

Ugh, you all make me feel poor and dumb. I'm a student over the the New Jersey Institute of Technology, studying Mechanical Engineering, concentrating in Automotive Engineering, and hoping Subaru will hire me when I graduate so I can make transmissions that don't suck. (and pistons that don't melt) For now though, I work as a mechanic in a repair shop and as an office assistant at my school. College students are the 2nd poorest people in the world.

I have been a College Instructor for the past 27 years teaching fish culture and aquaculture. I love my job and will continue doing this for some years to come. I also have a clam and oyster farm and do some consulting work in my spare time.

I work for Colinx which is a pooled distribution warehouse that supplies Rockwell, Timken,SKF, Cooper bearings , INA, Reliance Electric, KBC bearings, Allen Bradley Controls, Drives Inc., and FAG (yes this is the name of the company) We are currently expanding to include Gates and some others. Going to be promoted around Dec. to supervisor over one of these companies. I work for Cooper at the moment nothing exciting though.

I am in my senior year at Colorado State, majoring in Criminal Justice, minoring in History and speech Communication. I have 1 job working about 7 or 8 hours a week from my laptop as a public relations consultant, and a job as a security guard working roughly 30 hours a week. Both jobs pay me $10.00/hour, and are extremely easy. After graduation, im heading for hte Aurora, CO police academy. FBI someday.

I beleive the proper educated term for this is "Corrugated cardboard distribution engineer" (a friend of mine made that up a number of years ago when we worked in a warehouse.
