Wisdom teeth, whats the point

finally went and got mine out, they where a little
overdue by about 10 yrs....
did it thursday, and my mouth is still swollen and
the pain sucks ass

I know most of you all have been there, but I know had I done this earlier, the healing would been faster etc..

painkillers are kinda cool

the actual process was a piece of cake
some grinding, yanking and they are out...
a few hours later though, after the numbing
stuff starts to wear off is when the fun begins..
I actually still went to work thursday, fri and sat
but just have advil and any other painkiller around
....youre gonna want it

I just got one of mine out. It was soft tissue impacted and had an enourmous cavity.

The pain after extraction was nothing compaired to the throbbing from the cavity.

It was a relief!

But yea, I needed a few perscription motrins.

Isn't it a smarter person would have wisdom teeth?

I have had three, maybe. The first two came out at the right place and just filled the empty space. Few months ago, there's another one seemed to come out at the end of the left face...I have to agree, the pain sucked ass and I even had fever(I can't even drive properly haha) Must have painkiller. But that one it seemed it stopped half-way....as long as no pain so far that's better.

I had all 4 removed at the same time. I was knocked out when they did it. There was very minimal pain once the numbness wore off. Never really bothered me. Only thing that was annoying for me was the fact that I couldn't eat solid food for 2 weeks because of how tender the area was.

I had mine pulled back in Feb. I had let a tooth go bad for over 8 months and the pain afterwards was nothing compared to them being in, glad I finally done it, of course the painkillers helped ALOT

i HIGHLY recommend getting knocked the **** out for this. makes the whole procedure a walk in the park - the worst part was having to change the gauze out every so often and no solid foods.

i was told to drink lots of water to stay hydrated on the painkillers, too - otherwise the constipation would be 10x worse than any tooth pain.

i had no problem with that - i like milkshakes. get some of that Ensure stuff in a can, so you get all your vitamins and what not.
