I grabbed him like a mother cat would have, and hauled him to the bathroom sink, where half of his body weight of fleas went down the drain!!
A trip to the vet (that has known all my animals for the last 40 years), a few shots, treatment for the ear mites, ringworm, and a host of other parasites, and 150$ american, we now have a 7 week old kitten nameed 'Sweety'!!!
We needed another cat like a third eye, but when he flashed those baby blues, we were HAD!!!

He seems to 'adapt well', and can walk past the 2 dogs with no fear, but the other 2 cats have NOT adjusted to the little fir ball that camps next to the food dish!!

Haha, really cute! I could see how in the dark it might look like a possum! That's really kind of you for saving it.. I wish I had more room in my home for some kitties. If people weren't so ignorant and would just spay and neuter there wouldnt be such a high number of strays/ euthanizations...

All my animals are 'prisoners', but have it so well, that they don't KNOW it!!!

I guess that , since we take such good care of them , that WE are the prisoners, since any vacation time is based on 'WHO can come by and FEED'???

Spoiled vermin!!!!

i do. they work, but don't hold a lot of litter. one needs to avoid over filling them or they keep running until they unjam. also, they if you go on vacation or forget to dump the receptacle, you can come home to a big mess one of two places or both. my cats prefer deep litter boxes so i don't use it anymore. wanna buy it?

does it have a hood? It appears as if these guys like scratching on the walls of the hood after taking a big steamer.

Best suggestion, a 55 gal barell, cut in half!! (you can use it for a BBQ grill during the 'off season' when you are home), We went to a rod run where open fires were not permitted, so I took such a device. When the fire was towering over 15 ft into the air, the 'security' guy came to our camp and asked what was going on. I placed a hotdog onto the infirno, and told him that it was a 'cooking fire' and watched the hotdog burn up and fall through the grate. I told him that it was a little too soon to put the food on, and he went away!!

Use their rules to your advantage!!

new use for the barrell!!

The other cats are NOT impressed with the new 'addition'!!!

Play this 'scene' in your head.........
Wife lounging on couch, cat # 2 walks up and jumps onto the couch with wife. Cat # 2 walks over to wifes leg, raises tail, and BLASTS wife's leg with a stream!!
Cat # 2 is IMMEDIATELY confined to a crate until such time as the 'attitude' is properly adjusted!! The post about the 1/2 barrell came to mind, but the crate was what was used.
Cat #2 has been here for several years, and she doesn't LIKE intruders! Cat # 1 , however, has developed a 'tolerance 'for the furball, because she watched the whole thing play out last night, and doesn't want to end up in a crate too! She doesn't miss a chance to offer her head for a 'rub'!!

HOWEVER, in spite of the fact that he has 1 animal that LIKES him, 2 that tolerate him, and 1 that will P on anyone that TOUCHES him, He's actually starting to look like a HEALTHY kitten!!!

Jerry

Love all the cat pics. Those kittens are cute. That Silver Bangel (or whatever it is) is awesome looking.

My lazy cat. She may look sweet, but don't be fooled. She hates other animals/people that intrude on her territoty. I have seen her chase the neighborhood male cat out of our yard. Watch out.

An update on my little monsters.

They are not ready to go out into the rest of the house unsuperivsed with the dog there, as i dont trust that mangy mutt all alone . So, 2 problems I have encountered thus far. 1. They like to leave big steamers in the middle of the night at odd hours, and they are so wonderful smelling that they can even awaken me out of a drunken deep slumber.
2. Being creatures of the night, they like to run around and play with every little thing in my room. This includes : Neckties, Shirts, Socks, Phone chargers, Empty water bottles, nuts/bolts, pennies, and especially their little 'jingly ball'. They also scratch the sides of the hood of the litter box VERY loudly.
Also, an interesting discovery. The silver bengal likes to 'bark' at the laser pointer if u put it up to the wall just out of his reach.

That's all for now guys! Awesome pics of the kitties! Very funny story about the p-ing cat.
