Update! I got 2 more traps, figured a little more peanut butter would be better, nope! they just stole the butter and got away

Trap 1, kitchen, untouched!

Trap 2, in garage, AWOL, looks like it got the varmet and then a scavenger came allong he/she took rat and trap so I'm off to get more traps and some chain

Trap 3, in shop, bait cup empty and clean, trap not activated

Trap 4, in upper pole barn, avtivated, rat got to the bait and started pulling it out, looks like his nose/fore feet got pinched, but he got away. I hope this wasn't a learning experience for him he can try again tonite

As for trap 2, Did you put a wire on it and tie it to a nail or pipe?? You will most likely find the trap and bones in a corner somewhere!!
Them pesky rats are TOUGH!!!

wrap a small piece of screen (metal) around the 'trigger' and push the peanut butter into the screen, then they will have to work harder to clean u out!

#2 was located, that freakin rat ran 100'+ with the trap on its head, that is curently the only nonsecurable trap, I attached a 2' legnth of chain to the others so they may be secured. Got 2 mice and a rat in the main barn tonight, that makes total 2 mice and 4 rats, if anyone want's a pet let me know, I don't really want to kill all of these guys, but they are tearing the place up and are not welcome to stay!
