Thanks for the post Kayvon.
I got the issue too. It's too bad they published our car in Black and White, after showing the majority of the cars in full color. I have e-mailed the publisher about the formatting, but am still waiting for a reply. Love the car though. |

1. Not enough made and a company that doesn't support their aging cars (go try to find parts for a brat at the dealer). Since there weren't enough made for someone to come up with a mold for each part (like Victoria or Moss does for the british) and keep it cost effective 2. Idiots who part out totally decent cars today for the high $$$ stuff then send the rest to the crusher. (Yeah everybody needs seals today but in 15 years when they all leak...) 3. Never was accepted by the public. Does that mean it won't be worth money as it ages? Of course not but it'll be worth the same that a Hillman Minx is or a Dailmer 250 is not what a Sunbeam Tiger or Jaq E type is so it is doubtful that you'll see too many profitable reestorations going on for 'em in the future.

Yeah, well guess what
so was this car 40+ yrs ago.... and its value has been going up steadily in the last 10 yrs I got a grip for this car, just sold it the other day. Regardless, I know what cars I plan on having 20 yrs from now as investments, ...along with some land

Yeah and that edsil is still not worth anthing but of course it is worth more today then 10 years ago because off all the losers who can't turn a wrench but will throw 99k at a stinking VW camper! Anybody who collects cars for the money though should do themselves a favor and open a standard savings account. The benefits are about the same once true costs are factored in.

thats okay, I know all my cars are sound investments and I have a "bank acct" because of it to each his own, but I know how much I make a yr in selling classic or muscle cars, and it easily pays the bills more then the measily few % any banks going to do for me. Oh, btw apparantly the "edsel" was worth something, since its been paid for and I tripled my investement in less then 30 days....hmmm

Thanks for correcting the spelling of Edsel. The easiest way for non Edsel fans to remember the spelling is this little saying:
Every Day Something Else Loose Dan PS: No I have nothing against the marque. |

Glad you made a profit on your edsel but really is it worth even close to a comparable Ford, Chevy or Dodge from the same year. I already know you make a killing on crap (so the edsel doesn't suprise me that you found an idiot willing to pay too much for something). Just look at the steel brakelines sitting broken after a week on one of my cars. A decent supplier probably would've cut into your profits too much.

Secondly, money is money and if I make a few hundred dollars or a few thousand it doesnt matter, as long as I didnt lose any. that = a sound investment. Feel free to invest your $ anyway you want, I could care less. Now as for the brakelines, this is all news to me. Instead of beating around the bush, lets here the whole story. Did you buy them from us ? and do you still have your inv ? IF you did they have a lifetime warranty so they would replace anything that is or was defective (AND NOT INSTALLED INCORRECTLY, of course. And Im sure youre a Pro so that would never happen) Have you EVER contacted me about this "problem" ?? Um NO If you had It would of been resolved along time ago. As for the manufacturer, they are about the biggest in the nation and supply 80% of the sellers out there of the same product, just FYI. I dont know who you are and now I really dont care nor do I want to know But as a vendor, yes, Id still stand behind my product and help fix any issues you may have with them even if youre an ass, sure.

Speaking of Edsel, has anyone else seen an Edsel station wagon? I saw one at a car show a few months ago. It's the only wagon I've ever seen and I've seen quite a few Edsels.

but dont think they ever made a woody version, that would of been cool. I sold a wagon yrs ago, but dont have any pics of it, it was in about the same shape as the other one I just sold was. The converts are pretty cool too.
