I use the Viper 791xv 2-way without any problems. The only bad thing really is that there's a lot of wires to hook up because it's an autostarter as well, and the other problem I have is that the tinting in the windshield decreases the range a lot, so I had to mount it in the rear passenger window.

There's a lot of choices out there as far as alarms go. The big question is reliability. Those knock brands on ebay WILL work, but how long? and what if you need a new remote?? Generally stick with a DEI product (Viper, Clifford) because they are most widely carried. Audiovox Prestige units are also just as good.

The SVX is an easy car to work on - there's nothing tricky about it (electrically). Let me know if you need anything ...I've been installing professionally for about 4 years now and take pride in working on an SVX.
