Lock/unlock switch?

Hey guys,
I have a 92 and it has no lock switch to operate the door locks. They have a nice shift surround on ebay that has the switch. Any idea on if this would work, is the wiring there? Also how in the heck do I lock/unlock my doors when I am in my car?

Thanks Steve

just press down the driver's side door lock and it will automattically lock/unlock the passenger's door as well.

Lock

Ok, got it. Does anyone know if the wiring loom is under the center console to hook up the switch?

The wiring harness isn't there on a 92, it was only added in later years

I think I have it in my 94. when i took out the faux wood trims out and painted them, i noticed lots of plugs... not being plugged to... i think around 4 between under the shifter and the radio unit

Must check for those looms on mine.

The car locks automatically when driving. Then, when I let a passenger out, I need to open the driver's door to activate the central unlocking.

Sometimes you forget to close the door properly, so a switch would be real handy.

Some SVX's have an electrical system while others have an air pressure system.
I bought a door complete from the states 2 years ago, i still have it, the central locking has an air pump instead of an electical one as is in my car....
you must have the air pump locking system, it must work this way in the SVX.
