front diff install

im going to attempt to do a front diff on my awd 92 svx...ive done transmissions before on these cars but wondered if anyone did the front diff to let me know any tricks of the trade or a good how to??? i will be getting some help from a subaru mechanic/dad but he only uninstall and reinstall trannies any idea on how long this should take? (seems like subaru is happy to replace a whole tranny even if its just the front diff) well thanks for any help posted here u guys are always there for me and my svx troubles

I am in the middle of writing one so that the SVX final gear ratio can be used on any 4EAT tranny. It was not hard at all. You do have to remove the rear tail section if you are changing gear ratio. It you are not changing the gear ratio then just R&I the front diff. I think it was somthing like 6 bolts and 4 nuts.
