I have a 97 and was wanting to find out what # my svx was out of the 640 made. My vin has two extra #s I think. Is this the # out of production? JF1CX8654VH100160 the 60 is the 2 extra. Any one else with a 97 who has found this out. Or just any one.

the last couple numbers indicate which one yours is. so yours is #160

The first Legacy and Bahas off the assembly line had the last 3 digits of 058 and it was explained that the earlier ones were all used for testing.

yo i just got off the phone with 1800 subaru3 they just told me that the last 3 mean nothing they mean no record of production for sure. u all can call and also ask about your recalls if any exist they told me the most info would be on the door jam. i looked it was not to helpful either. it said my 97 was built in 9/96 in japan. go figure. o yeah the people also told me were my car was first shipped to( sold from). mine was utah.
