^^^

There's a trick to the game above... Just set your alarm for 8 hours from now... Wake up and bid on it... Nobody's gonna be chasing it that early in the morning... That's how I win all my auctions... Wait till the last momnet then bid as high as I can go... With a 3mbps Cable internet connection, it's easy to refresh the page every 3 seconds... After timing myself, I found that I can make a bid in under 15 seconds

Who was it that likes that 1970'something Ferrari with Niki Lauda??

That was me. The cover of the book seems to show when Niki drove for TAG McLaren, winning his 3rd and final championship.

I have a video of an interesting demonstration of the speed of
those older F1 cars. It was at Silverstone, and they put James Hunt in a european Ford road car, and John Watson in a Porsche 928 and sent them on their way for one lap. They gave Hunt almost 3/4th of a lap head start, then turned Watson loose in the Porsche. Niki is standing beside his pre-turbo McLaren finishing a cup of coffee and puting on his helmet. He slowly climbs in and fires it up. By this time the Ford and the Porsche are long gone. Off Niki screams in pursuit. The 928 catches the little Ford somewhere near Abby curve....and then Niki screams by BETWEEN THEM! He is parked in the pits and out of the car
by the time the others reach the start-finish line. Great stuff!

Now someone was asking about Porsche earler...the other thread...wasn't the TAG engine in those McLaren's a Porsche?
Help me out Pockets....

and another thing

...brought over from the old thread regarding JPM.

Is it safe to say that you folks in the know consider
Montoya the "Tony Stewart" of F1?

Just a comment in passing....when he and Kimi get
the same machines to drive....well. Juan Pablo is good,
but I think we will see just how good Kimi really is.
Coulthard is on his way out and isn't a good yardstick
to use at the moment.

Daydream (or nightmare) for Schumacher.....

"Michael, we have decided to let

Rubens go to McLaren in exchange for Kimi."

OHMYGOSH Andy!

Maybe I could afford a valve or a plug or two...

Imagine dropping that engine in an SVX,

putting it in Drive,

and scattering the tranny all over hell and half of Georgia!

I'd love to have the block Niki used to win his home Grand Prix.

Drop a wine bottle down each cylinder hole...what a conversation piece. Are you listening Ron?

Cool!

My older sister is a huge Rusty Wallace fan. About 5 years ago
I bought one of his practice tires from Michigan and surprised her with it at Christmas. She turned it into a table also!

Andy, I love your bike!
