I beg your pardon?

Keep it up guys! The SVX is one cool car. I wish Subaru would make something like this but better and under different name, like Toyota/Lexus. My dream Subarus are WRX Sti in black with gold rims, 2005 Legacy GTI in red and Silver Forester Turbo.
Wondering why I bother.

I did the "Z" thing and in fact was the president of the Montana chapter of the club.
My SVX is 10 times a better car, in appearance, handling, creature comforts etc.

The love affair continues..........................

I just purchase a SVX, I should be getting it next week. I said Subaru dream cars not "dream" like Mercedes S600 or BMW M5.
Keep send your rates about your SVX.
Peace.

Maybe you ought to be on another board. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't own or plan to own an SVX? Dream cars are all other Subies and to add insult to injury you wish Subaru would build "...something like this, but better and under different name..."

Clown!!! maybe you'll want to ask your Mom why I'd take exception to comments like these. Wondering why I bother.

i love the fanatical ones! there has been much improvement made since the SVX days - it really isn't the best car ever made. in fact, many people would call them goofy-looking and unreliable.

you should realize people have, and are entitled to, opinions that may be different than yours.

Agreed. Diversity of opinion is always something we should cherish in life...

Alan, I never said it was perfect. In fact we seem to spend most of our time here figuring out how to fix 'em. But...First time I've ever seen anybody say they wish Subaru would build one and call it a Toyota/Lexus.
Fanatical, yup! I thought we all are? Yeah, opinions are like a......s, everybody has one. And so do/am I, depending on what day it is and if my wife says it's OK.

i think what he was saying was, he wished Subaru had an upscale line like Toyota has Lexus, Honda has Acura, etc.

That's what I thought he meant too... And I agree that if Subaru had started the SVX as the Flagship of a new division.. We would have had more on the road and something similar being produced today... under a different subaru brand

I'd rate mine an 8. It hasn't been perfect, and it's louder than it used to be and rattles a bit, but I still love driving it. I recently got an Audi A8 which is a better highway machine, and just as rare, but it can't take the place of the SVX.

Compared to the other cars you listed, I'd say the 300ZX is louder and more of a pure sports car, the BMW is quite nice but if you stand still for more than a minute ten will pass by, and the Lexus is a nice car but - in my opinion - is actually starting to look more dated than the SVX. Even after all these years, it still turns heads and it is still a fun car to drive.

Overall best vehicle I have ever driven, but not quite as fun as an XT6.

It is hard to rate the SVX. For bang-for-your-buck, you really can't get anything better. Although I am in my late 20s, I have owned several different types of cars. The SVX is definately in a class of its own. However, the best car I have ever owned was an Audi allroad twin turbo. To this day, I wish I had not sold it, but from a financial standpoint, I'd rather spend the big bucks on a house that appreciates instead of a luxury/sport/hybid performer that depreciates.

Maybe one day I'll buy another one. But for now...I've got on damn fine SVX.
