Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution

"One touch Sunroof Mod (lets you full open & close w/o holding it twice)" It was listed in this eBay auction that just closed. I couldn't find any other mention of this when searching the forum. Has anyone done this mod and if so, is it documented anywhere? Thanks:

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
I had to dig for this one, but here is a users solution. No, this is not an SVX forum, but I think the information is useful. Top post on this page.
There is an argument about tweaking with the Sunroof, that ensues, and you can take that as you may. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...529~PN~0~TPN~2 Then the part can be found here. https://www.directedstore.com/cgi-bi...listcategories Let us know what you think. Quote:

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
Thanks for this link Worm. I hadn't thought of Googling websites without SVX in the search. However, that seems like a lot of money to do what I have in mind.
What I'm looking for is just a way to eliminate the stop that you get part-way when trying to open the sunroof all the way. When it stops half-way you have to let go of the button and then press it again. It looks like on the schematic below that you could just jumper the switch contacts next to the motor. The question I have is, will that cause any other problems? I'd like to know the wiring schematic of what's in the 'Sunroof Relay'. Then I could have a better handle on how that circuit works and be a little more comfortable with the first trial.

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
Back to original subject-->
I fully closed the roof Removed plastic cover Bent washer to free the 14mm nut And now the question - when I tight the nut clockwise, it rotates with inner 6-side rod, so actually its the same as pushing the open button.. And I failed to tight it.. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
How do I access that nut? should I remove the roof light?

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
Just remove the plastic plug rearward the roof light

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
With all the questions about the nut I thought I would post a picture of it while I attempted the adjustment on my car. You can see the "flaps" that need to be flattened to get access to the nut.

Re: Ending the sticky Sunroof: A REAL solution
Thanks for reviving this thread. I somehow missed it all these years. I've had to give the sunroof on my '92 a little push up to get it going ever since I bought it 8 years ago. I'll try this easy fix.
