OK I was confused... thanks . AWD ,FWD, FD toooo many D's <LOL>
so what is the advantage of the 6 speed if the FD is lower than my 5 speed and it is heavier. Could it be closer ratios between gears .

Closer ratios between the gears and it's waaaay beefier. They are known to handle at least 400hp. The 5-speeds can be built to handle quite a bit of power too though.
