Ok, the wife wants a 2010 Outback Wagon, so I find her a nice one priced below market vale at $19,990 for the 2.5 Premium model which is the middle of the three, standerd, premium, and limited models. It only has 14,505 miles, nice satin pearl with beige cloth, call the place and tell him about my trade which is her current vehicle 01 Bmw X5 3.0 with 136k on the clock and in excellent condition. He says the most he could offer me is $3,500 when KBB excellent trade in value is $6400 and if I sell it myself $8400. I said how do you come up with that ridiculous number he says thats the auction price. This place only sells cars they purchase from insurance companys like thefts, light water damaged, etc. Can you imagine if I gave him my car for $3500, they would easily double their money on it. He goes on to say a normal dealer could give me more. We shall see, as Im trying to unload this beast that gets low 20's MPG highway and cost $90 to fill on premium gas.
