Straight bolt in upgrade?

Is there a straight bolt in brake upgrade that anyone's used?

The primary problem is that the pedal lacks feel, could it be easer and more practical to adjust that?

The rotor issue, is that related to the stock brakes in particular or is it more a product of the entire car itself?

Re: Straight bolt in upgrade?

A thurough flush with high quality brake fluid (ATE Super Blue, etc), nice grabby pads (Ask the guys doing Auto-X what they run), and possibly some stainless steel brake lines should cure the problem. If not, then you have a problem with some braking component and replacing with stock will solve the problem just as well.

Thanks! Sounds like a cheaper fix.

I am selling a set of stainless steel brake lines now. Just look in the for sale section

Re: Straight bolt in upgrade?

My calipers have a lot of surface rust on them and it looks a bit awful through my slim five spokes...

What are the less time consuming/expensive option: Refurbish the calipers or bolt on 4 new ones?

Re: Straight bolt in upgrade?

If your calipers are working fine then just paint them.

Obviously, I would have to get rid of the rust first. Just take them off, treat them with sandpaper or chemicals and then paint? Or simply take the wheel off, sandpaper and paint while mounted?

Re: Straight bolt in upgrade?

take them off first. you can always tell the ones that were painted on the car because you can't get the paint even on all the surfaces. also painting the parts you don't see will help to keep the rust from coming back.

I ended up with EBC rotors and pads for about 1/3 of your suggested price. Mark, only rotors and pads.

Are Brembo pads included in your set? I might be interested at a later point.
