Rear Quarter Window Stuck
Can anyone recommend a simple fix or diagnose problem from experience.... after opening rear window to approx half way it is completely stuck with no motor noise. Unable to move it manually either way. Have taken off the trim but nothing obvious is evident and no up or down motion possible. Does it mean the motor is gone?? I guess it may be a job for an auto electrician.

Re: Rear Quarter Window Stuck
If you can have someone push the switch, you may be able to manually push it up (i have did that on another car) Because the motor has no strength but when the button is not pushed the window motor will be "locked" in place and maybe pushing the button will "unlock" it. I also did this with my windshield wipers on my truck. The motor was bad and they wouldnt move by hand unless i turned them on.

Re: Rear Quarter Window Stuck
Have you tried both switches? Are the other window's still working?

Re: Rear Quarter Window Stuck
Have tried pulling and pushing with both switched up and down and no results. All other windows are working fine.

Re: Rear Quarter Window Stuck
Then the motor or the cable regulator is bad. The hard part is getting to it. You need to remove the back seat and the interior side panel.

Re: Rear Quarter Window Stuck
before pulling the reg out, check to see if there is power at the motor when the switch is activated, mine did this also and it was the drivers master switch had dirty contacts, it now works after cleaning the contacts.
