Alarm System
My battery has run flat from not driving my car in a while, so I heard if I want to take the battery out for a while I have to turn off the alarm sirens with the little alarm key or the alarm will randomly go off when it runs out of its back-up power.
Is this true? If so where is the keyhole for the little alarm key. I have a 93 SVX, I looked around the engine bay and there is 2 disc shaped alarm speakers next to the battery, so I think it is the standard alarm system. Regards, Jay |

Re: Alarm System
I am quite sure that the Australian delivered SVX did not come with a factory fitted alarm system. I think that your alarm would be an aftermaket one, and you would need to look under the instrument panel and look for the control unit to work out what make and model of alarm it is.
By the way, those two speakers that you saw near the battery are probably the standard horns. Jason.
