steering rack wanted asap

i have just being told that my cars rack is leaking badly into its rubber boots, thus making the pump to work extra hard with varying levels of assistance.
does anyone know of a rack available for a late version outhere, thanks

Hi there,

I have a spare rack from a 96 jdm car which I believe would not suit my 93 jdm. One is speed sensitive and one rpm sensitive. The one i have spare would go with 4ws. It's low mileage and ready to go if any use.

hi, i'm not sure about the differences between uk & jdm cars, my one is a 97 uk type, maybe someone else can advise if ur rack is suitable?, in the mean time can u pm me ur contact number, thanks

Steve, to the best of my knowledge no SVX built in 1996 would have come with 4WS.

It is possible that a car built in 91-92 when 4WS was available was not registered in Japan until 1996, but I feel it unlikely.

Why do you think it is 4WS?

just picked up the car complete with its new overhauled rack etc,its feeling good, a bit heavier than before but thats fine, the job was carried out by a local firm based in east london at a reasonable price inc 12 000 mile warenty
