thinking of getting aother svx..
hey everyone... I'm thinking of getting a newer svx and I've got a line on a 94 with 79k (50 miles) asking 5500. It looks pretty gorgeous in comparison to my 92. I'm just wondering if there is anything to look out for....the timing belt has been done and the tires are good. Oh and is there a simple way to tell between a FWD and a AWD? Thanks in advance

All Canadian SVXs are AWD.

Re: thinking of getting aother svx..
What they said about AWD. If the speedo is in km it's AWD.
At 79K I'd check the belts, tie rods, axle boots and strut mounts. Nothing tragic will happen if the the timing belt goes, other than you will be stranded. But at that age it may be weak and need changing before the 100k mark. The A/C may also need a service. The exhaust will probably also be at the end of it's life after all these years, even on the rust free prairies. Heck a 92 with 161km and a 94 with only 79k, neither are even broken in. Are they both Alberta cars? |
