Timing Gear Puller???

So, does anyone know the best way to get the timing gear off the crankshaft? It looks like you should be able to drive it off with 2 long bolts but there are no threads in the holes on the gear to drive it off. I was thinking a gear puller but what the hell do you wrap the jaws around without damaging the timing teeth. I want to take the timing gear off to check to see if the end of my crankshaft is ok after the Harmonic balancer failure and to better gain knowlege of my subaru. I lined up all my timing marks with the ones on the block. I also need to find the correct size Key that holds the balancer on the crankshaft. Anyone know where I could get one online.
Thanks Again
Will

Search through the threads for more help. I tapped the two holes with a 8mmX1.25 tap and pulled it off with a plate as opposite force. The key you're talking about is the "wood ruf" key. I'm gonna look for the link on subaruparts.com for it.
