Interesting Comparison

Came across an interesting site on the Web where you can compare cars. It's not scientific and probably means very little but it at least allows you to make some comparisons between car models. So, spent some time going through it (at work).
Here's the site: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/

Results
Subaru SVX overall score of 41 with a performance rating of 8.
Other cars around the same era.
Celica Overall 43 perf 4
300zx overall 38 perf 8
Mit 3000GT overall 38 perf 9
Jag XJ12 Overall 46 perf 6
Viper overall 32 perf 10
Corvette overall 36 perf 8
BMW 325 overall 49 perf 6
RX7 overall 37 perf 7
Pont Gran Am overal 45 perf 5
Porsche 922 overall 39 perf 9
Legacy overall 47 perf 4
Mustang overall 39 perf 7

There you go for what it's worth

Funny, I was thinking the other day how - wait, what?

I'm not quite sure I want 2.5L heads on my 3.3L engine!

A 3 on ride comfort? A 3 in quietness? My car is extremely comfortable, and when i had my 17's, was completely silent at 80mph.

Price Range

Did you notice the pretty realistic selling price range of $1100-4900? More realistic than many we see listed on here, but actually pretty much in line with current and recent sales on Ebay.

Yea i did notice the 2.5 comment and the 3 rating on the ride. I thought the 3 was a little bizarre considering the ride might be the SVX's best attribute in its class. That's why I don't give the numbers much credibility at all. But it's interesting enough to compare. I don't know how they arrived at the numbers, maybe they picked them out of a hat.

I'm not sure I'd say the ride is the biggest asset to the car... Though the stability at high speeds is nice. Not that I ever drive above the speed limit...

I would say the ergonomics of the car are FANTASTIC. You can't find another car from '94 with the same equipment the SVX has - it was so advanced for its time.

Plus, the styling of course is awesome...

It's funny about the styling. I parked my car today in a parking lot and it was sitting out there by itself. When I came back I couldn't help admiring its styling and wondered what others thought of it sitting out there by itself. I think it appeals only to certain people though. I really like the styling and think it's profile is one of the classiest cars I have ever seen. Then again I like almost every Subaru ever built but most people describe the cars as odd. Can't help but think that maybe I'm odd.

I know the SVX was and is better than most cars list. If the car was lighter and have manual probably performance would be 9.
Consumer is right about the performance, 0-60 may be slower than most of the cars on the list, but 60-100 is nice! Braking is superb and also cornering.
peace,
sid

On all models except those with "pearl white" paint, the roof and trunk now were body-colored. With white paint, the roof and trunk were black, as on all prior models.
Hm yeah. What does it mean "now were"?
Ride quality needs to be an 8
quietness 7
controls/materials 8
score 53
