do you think i should stick a hydralic one in the car, its going to be just a nice non mod svx stock power.

For day to day driving the cable clutch set-up is fine, if you plan on doing drag launches, you'll want a better pressureplate and clutch to keep it from slippinng.....but it won't slip under normal conditions and driving.

mt holding up?

I have not been able to find any information in reguards to weather anyone has had a mt5/mt6 swap last and hold up. I have found reports and speculations that the eg33 had too much torque for a mt wich is supposedly why Subaru never made it an available option. Dose anyone have any info on that note?

To the best of my knowledge, the SVX I did the first swap on is still doing fine....so it's been in the car for over 5 years, but was never beat on while I had it.
Of rnormal driving they'll be fine, but if you're going to be drag racing it, NO tranny will hold up for too long, Manual OR Auto....that's the price you pay to play...

mt holding up

thanks for the prompt response. I started this project car and would like to get it done the right way. I am glad I found this fourm site. Has any one seen an SVX completely done inside and out... including under the hood. I am working on fiberglass interior, turbo, trans swap, and possibly N02 with ems.

A few of us have seen almost all there is to be seen in the SVX. About your MT question, all 5 of the 6mt svxi that are in known existance still have the transmissions in them. Below is the list of Handles that own them

AlexUmn
Subafreak
Tomssvx
MikeCG
Gest24

We are a rare breed and I know I drove mine daily all last year. Gest also drives his daily. Dunno about Alex's but Subafreak's and mine are now hibernating for the winter

My 5MT has outlived the 4EAT in my car. It's my daily driver and I can't say I'm a gentle driver. I occasionally autocross my SVX.
