JDM SVX's had remote keyless entry but very poor range, quicker to use a key. No alarm system though.

Here is a scan of the folding mirrors:

http://www.geocities.com/Jamsvx/foldingmirrors.html

A lot of the Japanese imports that have come into Australia also have them (FTO, GTO's, Skylines, Silvias etc etc)

Regards

I had heard a rumor years ago about power folding mirrors, but I thought they only came on the special "Police twin turbo" edition.

I heard they only folded in whilst in the Stealth Mode. To prevent detection I imagine.

My Soarer has them stock......fold in and out with the push of a button. All cars in Japan have to have them.....with so many narrow streets, ....they made it mandatory yrs back to help create more room for bicyclers etc roaming the streets. My girlfriend put a set on her 90 Accord. She also got a factory switch to run them.

Mine has the folding mirrors, I find it useful.

They do not fold with the ignition on-off circuit, unless there is a way of setting it up I don't know about.

Paddles sent me the instructions how to set up the doors for keyless entry, using a coded sequence. Great fun, but fairly useless in real life unless you lock in the keys.

A lock smith who worked on my car when the key broke in the trunk reckoned the driver's door latch has a slot for an infa-red transponder key to open the car[which key did not come with my car]. As the receiver would be behind the latch, the key would need to be really close to deliver a signal, so Paddles is right about that one too I'm sure.
