Stock Radio/Casssette Replacement Instructions

I need to replace the stock radio/cassette in my 96 and I would love to know the proper way to remove the unit from the dash. I have seen many cars where the cover door no longer closes right due to someone screwing with the radio and the way it's mounted. If anyone can tell me the steps involved in accessing and removing the radio/cassette unit I would be most appreciative. I have a uesd replacement on hand but I want to do it right.

Call Mike Davis (Green1995SVX). He took out the radio/CD unit in my wife's '94 Pearly and exchanged CD players in about an hour at the Reading SVX Meet. I was in the front passenger seat while he did it.

Thanks Mike.

PS: About halfway home the CD started to skip so we switched CDs and haven't had a problem since. Must be a bad CD. Thanks again Mike. I learned alot.

It's really easy to fix. The key is step 10 in section 2.6.4.
