My cv joint is goin on the front passenger side of my svx. The clickin has'nt gotten outa control but it still noticable. My question is do i need to get these replaced asap or what. I won't have the time to change it this week and i'm supposed to take a trip down south of me 300 miles round trip. would takin the trip be a bad idea? Any comment or suggestions appreciated

My dad wanted to see how long his hal fshafts would last after they started clicking they lasted 15,000 miles before we replaced them they could of gone longer, but i had time to replace them, and they started clicking really loud,he has a 90 legacy 5spd AWD

Stomping on the gas in corners will wear them out faster as will pulling a heavy load up hill. Keep off the gas. When the front end starts shaken they are worn really bad.

just be careful.. they'll start getting bad and eventually you'll get a "death wobble" (subafreak can attest to what i'm talking about)... so don't let it go on for too long... but they'll click for awhile before they get dangerous.
