Will this kill my car?
Ok my car was diagnosed with low compression in the middle driver cylinder. All other cylinders showed good pressure. My mechanic suspects a burnt valve. What does this mean? Does this sound right to you guys? The car starts and runs but has what sounds like a bad misfire.
I cant afford to put any more money in this car so I worked a deal on another car. I am wondering if the mechanic is correct will it hurt my car to drive 60 miles as it is to deliver it? I know the gas mileage and the power are going to suck I just really dont want to have the car trailered with all the ice on our roads. |

does it burn oil?? The valve could have something stuck on the seat which is keeping it from closing. It can do substantial damage as the combustion from that cylinder may be exiting into the intake. Either way, I would not drive it in this condition. If it MUST be driven, disconnect the injector to that cylinder as well as the coil pack.
