On Thursday I was on my way into the office. Liberty is a four-lane road with no divider at one point, and the lanes are very narrow. They also make a quick jog to the left, then the right.

A semi driver apparently wasn't paying attention, because he crowded my lane. In avoiding the truck, I hit the curb on the right side with my front tire.

I was pissed. I even wrote down the plate number of the truck. Then I noticed that the trailer was a car-carrier FULL or WRXs. Cool. But it doesn't get the driver off the hook.

Luckily only the tire hit the curb and there was no damage to the wheel.

Hopefully this isn't an omen - I don't want to continually have run-ins like this with WRXs.

Unfortunately though, if you hit with any force at all you're going to develop a brg noise. All Subaru's from Justy to SVX are lacking in how bad the bearings can take a lateral hit. Save that plate number!

Too bad you couldn't have settled it on the spot ... "Give me one of those wrx's and we'll call it even!"
