well im ryan(this being my intro to the forum)... last night Kerry and I changed the fpr out(back to stock) it helped out a little, with the back fire. We still threw the intermitent cel but there is belief it is the o2 sensor on the way out. Also Tom it we are all looking forward to seeing you both come out here, and hopefully the next time you will be able to see more of SoCal then you did.

About time you joined up Ryan... now you just need to buy an SVX... lol. The CEL is still there but only after driving on the freeway. So I'm thinking its not to do with running rich or it would throw sooner than the freeway.

Just as a tip for anyone else. When you pull your engine, spend the extra $10 and replace all your hoses. I just had my power steering return line blow out on me. This car is not easy to turn without PS. I jsut hope I didn't pump too much air throught the pump to cause cavitation.

More than welcome to come down. If you'd want to make a cool trip come down for Sept. 10th and be there for the 6MT Pearl's AutoX debute.

Alright so this week has been tuning/getting used to the 6MT. After the blown hose and I think I still have a slight leak somwhere on my PS rack. But I got some time at Performance EFI the local AWD Dyno using a Dyno Dynamics AWD Lowboy 450. This is an Eddy Current Dyno. Inturn is a bit more accurate as apposed to a Dynojet. But Derrick the shop owner gave me the Eddy current #s and the "Dynojet" #s. The Dynojet usually reads 15-20% more than an Eddy Current dyno. So here's the plots, hope you guys enjoy. I'm very happy with the results.

Eddy Current

Dyno Jet..

That looks like a nice smooth curve with only a tiny dip when the IRIS valve does it's thing. Looks like max power is at around 5900RPM with the new cams.

I am a little surprised although there is a greater deal of roational mass now. Anyway, with the right AFR you will be able to reach some better #'s let me know how the dyno day goes

Glad you enjoyed the trip Tom. And I'm glad that the swap went so well. Kerry put alot of pre-thought and planning into this endeavor and it paid off. I'm sure there are places Kerry had hoped you would've gotten to see but time didn't allow it.

But hey, there's always another time for "fun" visit.

I couldn't believe the amount of homes in those pictures, I don't think there's that many in the whole state of Mississippi.
