I beg to differ. I've seen H3 bulbs installed incorrectly and the clip forced on so that it actually touched the postive base of the bulb and shorted out the circuit. Also since the bulb is able to ground at virtually the entire perimeter of the seat, it is possible to have a bent seat or have some sort of foreign material get between the seat and the frame causing the bulb to be slightly tilted, yet grounded where it can still illuminate.

There is no such thing as an idiot proof system.
