Evergreen euro water pump scenario

I will spend some time sifting through the forum and figure it out, but just a few quick questions:

1) Has anyone ever deployed any other kind of Subaru water pump (Turbo EJ pump, for instance?

2) Does anyone have detailed pictures of the pump in-situ, or the location of the pump without the pump being installed?

3) Generally speaking, is any aftermarket pump worth the money? Or should I just go OEM.
