Well, We Done Dood It !!

Many of you know that I have been looking for a '94 Pearly for quite a long time. A while back, I came across one in the Philly papers. I have been negotiating with the private owner for some time. We finally reached agreement and Rosie and I picked up the car on Wednesday. The owner Jim B. lives in Oaks, PA. This is just northwest of Philly and very near Limerick, PA; where I got my '92. Jim also has a Chrysler- Maserati TC. It's a very nice car.
Today we registered the car in Delaware. We picked the following name for a vanity plate: "PEARLY".

The car looks great and runs great. The 2 major problems that are easy to rectify, are a drooping driver's side sunvisor that is held in place by a straight pin, and a security system that needs reprogramming.

Now we have 3 SVXes, SUBYDOO, SVXY, and PEARLY.
Guess I have to change the signature block to show 3 SVXes and AH SO, our 97 Outback wagon. That's 4 cars and only a 2-car garage. I guess I need to build another garage.

Larry, congratulations on your new purchase!! You are getting close to me in numbers of SVXs. I better start lookin for another! Maybe a silver one!

I am happy for you. I am sure this was just as exciting as buying your first one! I would have felt bad for you if it didn't have the droopy drivers side visor.

Congrats Larry. Are you planning a 5 speed install in at least one of the SVX's?
I'm jealous. It's getting harder to find a good SVX these days.

Thanks All,

To answer questions.
1) Rosie and I are not in competition with Earl. However, we do collect Knick Knacks and do not like Hummels. So I guess we need a '93, 95, & 96 to complete the set.

2) We have had the '92 Pearly since last March.

3) We hope to bring both SUBYDOO ('97 LSi) and PEARLY ('94 LSi) to Reading IV.

4) I intend to keep the 4EAT tranny in all the cars. If the worse happens, it's either a SUBY replacement tranny or
"Hello Level 10."

We bought this SVX from Jim B. This was his second SVX. He used to own a 92 Teal SVX. We both discussed the performance issue between the 92 & 94. The 92 & 93 really have more oomph off the line and throughout the rpm range than later models. Both of us agreed that the ECU must have been modified to accomplish this. With a 92 & 94, I have the opportunity to run a test by switching the ECU's. I'd like comments on this. If the theory works we could all go to junk yards and improve performance. I need some techies advice to do this. Someone like Beav or Chris. Thanks.

We have 5 cats. Bear is now taking driver's ed and will soon get his license. Eventually the '92 will be his.

Ok, I've got one question....... For those of you out there that have an outstanding number of SVX's, what ones are you gonna bring to Reading??? Are ya gonna bring all of them??? I really want to see ensteele93's new blue one!!!, I've never seen one of those before!!!!
