Police induced body sensations

I was riding home today and was just hitting the gas and passing a bunch of cars on the right, as there was no one on that side of the road, with a clear road in front of me. As I cleared a car at about 80, I see a policeman sitting off, up ahead, on the left side of road. I hit the brakes and slowed down. No problem I was clear. He was three lanes over.

However this brought back several memories of gettin pulled over by the police and the strange bodily sensation that comes over me when I see the flashing lights in my rear view mirror.

The easiest way to describe this is "Pissing in my pants" without an actual release of fluid.

So I would like to know if any of you guys and gals have similar experiences?

I think of ways to make them pee in their own pants when the lights hit.

But I now have a radar detector and a bear cat scanner so I am pretty much all covered unless I was being dumb.

I got my first ticket Saturday morning and it wasn't that bad. I mean the sensation was more humorious than scary. As for the ticket, it's 177 dollars out of my pocket. I never knew rolling a stop sign and driving "fast" under weather conditions (which i am going to contest) could be so serious. It was 8 in the morning no one on the road. I mean give me a break.

177 is not too bad. The higest I've seen was 800 from some county in IN. My friend was doing 120 when he got that. According to the cop, he had to chase him about 15miles just to catch up and somewhere in there, my friend passed a 98 Vett.

How's that for the ticket?

Has anyone had this happen to them? Your driving along on an empty highway, and you look in your rear view mirror and you see a cop coming at you at full speed with the red and blue flashin. You race to put your seat belts on and prepare to pull over, and he just speeds right pass you. GOD! I hate that. To the Illinois drivers or anyone passing through Illinois, this usually happens on rt 47. Its happened to me about 3 times in the past year.

Not a "pissing my pants" sensation, but more like the adrenaline rush and brief "body panic" when I see flashing lights. I always assume they are after me at first sight and I search my memory to think if I broke any traffic laws just then.

I definitely hate it when they come up from behind me with lights and siren blazing when I am the only likely target only to pass me when I start pulling over. I can fully relate to that!

I have a couple friends who know cops all around IL and they say they do it all the time on 47 just to freak people out. Like some kinda sick joke.

Seeing lights in my rear view gives me the "i think i may puke because I already have pending legal troubles and this could throw me over the edge" feeling.

I second that Phil. Silly not to. Just get in the habit of buckling up just before you pull away.

Johnny, they are probably rushing home for a quick lunch and a quickie with the Missus.

Adrenalin rush is way better than Viagra. I'm told.

I can't drive a car, or even ride in a car without my seatbelt on. I feel almost naked without it.

Well, sort of, but it went like this.........
it's about 1971, I'm sitting in my car on Capital Hill in Washington D.C., enjoying something other than a sandwich for lunch. I'm parked on one of the circular drives on the east side, last car in the line when I look up and what should be running full tilt towards the back of my car but a Capital Cop, arms pumping, legs flailing....thinking fast, I dunked my 'lunch' in the soda between my legs and popped it into my mouth. He ran right past my car and never stopped. The rest of the day was pleasant, if hazy.

As for the feeling when you see the blue light, David Crosby said it best in 'Almost Cut My Hair'....."it increases my paranoia, like looking at my mirror and seeing a Police car...but I'm not giving in an inch to fear, ..."
