Yea, but the problem is they also have pinhole gashes, like it looks like someone took a ball point pen and stabbed the panel. I'm gonna eventually get it out, its just a matter of when. I also have to fix the sunroof, get the bearings done, add a tranny cooler and replace some blown speakers. After that it should be clear sailing from there

Hmmm, my car's got a little bit of white smoke emitting from the back that doesnt seem to be going away. Is my engine head cracked? Everything seems fine and it only has 83,000 miles and the original owner had regular maintenence performed on it. He left the car sitting in his driveway for a month without starting before I came to pick it up. Could it be water in my gas tank and go away after I run the car more often, or is this a serious problem?
The car seems to drive spectacularly. If someone could provide some info it would be greatly appreciated! |

Oh another thing, I let the car idle for about 2 hours total today, about an hour during the after and another hour during the evening and I only noticed the smoke at night. I cant drive the car since its not registered yet and basically this is the situation.
On november 5th the original owner filled it up with gas and the same day I test drove it. And since they he hasnt started it and its been sitting there with the same gas in the engine . Could the gas just be watery and thats what's causing the white smoke? |

TE1221 AND SVXISTENTIALIST
Does the smoke smell like oil or no odor? You could have a warped head if there is no smell. Which means there is a coolant leak. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
What is Mr. Giugiaro's favorite color? ICE |

I get the normal gas smell when you put your face near the tailpipe... mmm... fumes. I'm starting to think that its just because its night time that I noticed it. During the day when I was running it I dont recall seeing smoke but I only noticed it at night when my driveway lights are shining on the car.

If the car has been sitting it probably has a bit of condensation in the exhaust. As the exhaust heats up it causes it to steam off, sometimes it can take a while to completely dissapate. Evenings are cooler, so when the warm, moist exhaust hits the cooler ambient air it condenses into a fog. We've had some really damp weather here lately (Seattle, Kentucky ) and it seems as though some cars never quit steaming.
To be certain there are a couple items to check: 1) Watch for coolant loss in the reservoir. Remember it will fluctuate up and down as the engne heats up and cools down, so it's best to check it first thing in the morning, before starting. 2) You can go to a garage and have the cooling system checked for carbon monoxide content, if positive it would indicate combustion gasses in the cooling system.
