i said an instrument - drums don't count reminds me of a joke: what do you call the guy who always hangs out with musicians? .......the drummer! just kiddin' - my best friend is a drummer. i've been playing guitar for 18 years and can't read music either. you gotta love tablature

lol i took "percussion lessons" last year for two semesters.. the first day the teacher walked in and i told him to go *&#^ himself, I wasn't going to learn to read music. Fortunately he was an amazing guy and understood that reading music just wasn't my style, so we spent the year just learning to do all sorts of crazy stuff that I'd never though of (the most important lesson I learned: when NOT to play)

drummer jokes... i never understood them for some reason.. after seeing some guitarists try to bang out a rhythm I'm surprised there isn't an equally insulting line of jokes aimed at the "other" members of a band.

anything to keep from reading notes and still sound good, i guess..

EDIT: at the next major meet, we should have all the musicians get together and try to write an svx song..

ive seen percussion music before, it does look kind of confusing cuz its all on one line on the staff, i guess you just have to get the hang of it basic stuff first, then eighth notes, key signatures, 16th notes, rhythms, melody

I think a CVT for the AWD SVX would be a pretty interesting gift to find under the tree.

how about some hydraulics so as we pass one another on the highway, give it a bounce to say "hey how's it going"

I'd be happy just to get my car back from the shop along with working AWD. I'd really like to figure out where all the water comes from that is collecting inside my SVX Then I'd like to figure out how to correct it.

Next, I am really jonesin' for Santa to surprise me with one of those Bit Char-G or ZipZap radio control micro cars! OMG, are they ever cool! One of the guys at work bought one and it is the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long, long time. Now everyone else there is buying one and I will be odd man out unless I scrape together $20 bucks by some miracle or Santa has mercy on me. Santa (the wife) already got me the SVX so I guess I should be happy <<sigh>>

3 to 1 you'll realize you can't actually wait and you're gonna blast this one right outta the park.

ps, i got more rhythm in my feet then most people have in their hands. i took dance for 13 years and i teach here and there...

for christmas, i want a new paint job, my dent fixed, and everyone on this network to get a long for good and hold hands and hug and all that family stuff so when we go to Reading in April, it will be one big happy family were everyone holds each others hair as they kiss the porcelin god!
what i really want is Reading ASAP!!

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
