Turn around

So tell the truth ..... How many people after parking their car, turn around and look back? More than once , more than twice?
Brock Yates once told me.... It is time to sell your car when you leave it parked. and don't turn around and look back at it.

Re: Turn around

You got me there. I'll admit it, never a park without a couple looks back. If grabbing a bite to eat, I try to sit where I can watch it.

Re: Turn around

I still turn around and look back.
And when I come out the store and walk back to her, she still makes me smile.

Hard to believe its been 4 years with her now already... sometimes I wonder if Bruce, the previous owner, misses her..
I am taking good care of her Bruce, she even has a nice backdrop for her when parked in the driveway.

She started her life in Cali, then moved to maine, then to CT, now she is in TN. I say she has had a good life.

I know I am rambling.. I don't post enough.. too many thoughts.. so just put them all in one post.

Re: Turn around

Yes I park it in view at restaurants. I look out ever now and then at work...
I even have a picture in my Lowes .vest....
I still love to drive it , even after 21 years. But I do enjoy the 5 speed more.

Re: Turn around

Mine definitely gets a couple looks, from me, after getting parked. Usually, followed by an impromptu photo/Instagram session.

Re: Turn around

I had thought I didn't anymore when I first read this thread, but I've since been checking myself and yeah, I still do. It is such a common thing for me now I don't even realize I'm doing it. (I do it with the Mazda too.)

Exactly what I do. I also park it AWAY from other cars in fear of door dings, even if I have to walk a bit more.

You cannot get enough of this car. 14 years now and the love is still there.
I don't seem to be coping with what the majority of people do normally, that is MOVING on with newer stuff. I feel I am stuck in the 90's in terms of cars, nothing beyond that is catching my eye. I drove nearly each and every modern car there is, and nothing really pleased me, there is always something missing in them.

If I want to purchase a new car, it will be a 90's Mercedes. Sometimes I fancy a 1995 Mercedes S320 or a 92-93 300SL. Maybe, just maybe I would get the 2010- Wrangler Unlimited in its Rubicon option if I had the money. But I am still stuck in a ditch.. since 2 years now.
