Re: Farm, 2011

We cleaned the ditches to move the water away from the work areas, Fired up OT's ex GL wagon for 'yard use', Cleaned out the spray booth, bagged trash and loaded it onto my GMC, and hauled more scrap metal to the busses that will be 'pressed' next week.
Not a lot of car related 'progress' to report this week, but the healing continues.

Re: Farm, 2011

Now that the 'hostile take-over' of the farm has been completed, things are 'on
the mend'.
We have started lining up the projects and removing trash by the truckload.
The little cub Cadet has been pushing dirt and gravel back onto the driveway,
filling holes and re-directing water.
The trash/scrap metal has been loaded into the busses and all 4 of them are
heading to the 'press' this week. The only bus that will be spared is the 91
Ford school bus.
Our first paying job was delivered the other day. I have to pull a smashed
quarter, then cut it off and replace it. The 'mobile' frame machine, (AKA Big
blue rollback) was fired up yesterday. That is the first time it has been
started since june!
As soon as the power is restored to the house and small shops, (should be this
week), major 'work' will be going on.
The 'new' guy, John, will be replacing the timing gears in Jim Jackson's Toyota
van, then It will recieve a touck-up, buff and detail BEFORE Jim knows that we
moved it yesterday.
We will be recieving a 'lift' for those efforts. (I sold mine to my brother to
avoid it being stolen).
Jim has many cars that need repaired. I look forward to a long and prosperous
business relationship.

FOOD for thought.....

The MILLIONARE that this puke works for has a really smart way of dodging taxes!
He pays his 'sub-contractor' well, and HE hires the pukes!
I have NO IDEA who pays the TAXES that are DUE EVERY time money changes hands.
The one guy gets a FULL 'disability' check that will be smaller if he has 'income'. Then MY 'puke' gets food stamps and other 'benifits' that would be smaller if HE had 'reportable' income.
His 'sub-contractor' goes to the state funded METH clinic before he reports to work.
I need to call Child Protective Services and 'report' what I know. They will contact the welfare board.
Then I need to call the IRS and report what I know.
I have PICTURES of these pukes vehicles at a 're-hash' of a rental unit. (taken today)
I will be contacting the millionare tomorrow and asking him to 'cut the check' for the clean-up that he bennifited from, and told me weeks ago that he would cover, or I will call the IRS and BEG for an Audit!
I can't afford to 'fight' him in court, but I can call on the IRS to do some 'sniffing' that will cost him more than the clean-up!

He TOLD me that the puke was FIRED in November. WHY is he still working there? (I got the PICS!!)

Re: Farm, 2011

OT, We thank you for the sam-it-chez Monday!
We were starting to fade!

After you left, John told me that he had found a dis-assembled METH lab and gallon jugs of meth-making chemicals in MY house!
No wonder they were so STUPID!
He dumped the jugs and burned them and smashed all the glass stuff and hauled it away.

Re: Farm, 2011

The FIRST car to be placed in a shop was the Polo that OT dragged home from New York. The SECOND car to be placed into a shop was MY 92 silver and black.
HIS car was put in the place where sparks fly and mine went into the shop where PAINT flies.
We will be dragging OT's other car, that has been hiding from his neighbors for 3 years, up to the shops and making it 'pretty' too. Then he can take it home and put a fresh drivetrain in it.
I talked to my buddy 'Jim' tonite and told him that any car he brought down would be 'fast tracked' to RatRod status and set out front 'fer sail' till he came to get it. Jim has a LOT of 'old iron'! I figure that , by the weekend, there will be a 40 Chevy 2 door sedan delivered. Over a year ago, I had that puppy running and driving in a matter of a few hours. Then I welded new floors, etc in it. That is the car that he gave me the 86 Jag for doing.
The Jag is sitting in the 'detail' bay.

Cars are going to be 'flowing' out of those shops like NEVER before!
Randy does body work. He's my 'new crew'! He is not a 'gamer', is 'drug free', he is MOTIVATED and willing to LEARN, and he is 18 years old.
He does NOT want to slaughter chickens all night for $10. per hour!
The last time I had a young guy working with me, I put a project inside and 2 smaller jobs right outside the door and all three got attention every day. At the end of the week, all three were ready to shoot! Then we pulled them inside, one after the other and shot them all!
(YEARS ago, another shop) One saturday, we painted a roll-off container truck, a dump truck, a VW bug, a taxi, a 69 Plymouth Sport Satelite, a 69 Nova and 'touched up a 72 Satilite station wagon! ALL in the SAME DAY!
We spent 2 weeks getting ready, but all of it happened from 4:00 AM till 5:30 pm! There was me, one other guy that knew what was going on and 3 'helpers' that followed instructions!
The dump truck and the 'roll-off' truck got 2 color 'graphics' and the Nova got 'pin stripes'.
They ALL got the same color! 69 Plymouth white, so I didn't have to clean the 'color' gun till the end of the day. I had 2 other guns with the black and gold that the big trucks called for.
My 'shootin' arm was TIRED that day!

Re: Farm, 2011

I just talked with Randy again. I told him what I expect. I 'expect' CLEAN pee
tests! I expect him to KEEP working like he has for the last 7 weeks. I asked
him how long has it been since someone GAVE him an 8 room 'Rancher' in the
country with 3 shops attatched?
He has been sleeping on couches at friends houses since his mom died 3 years
ago.
Randy said that he will be telling his GRANDKIDS about 'how he got his start'!

FINALLY!!!! I have someone that APPRICIATES an 'opportunity'!!
Praise the LORD!! It only took 15 YEARS to FIND this young man!

Re: Farm, 2011 'POWER UP'!!

Bucket truck showed up at 2:45 today to RESTORE the power that has been off for 2 months to 2 of my shops at the farm!
Since there is no power to my 'in-town' shop, I may as well move the PLAZ and big compressor to the shops that have power!
I booked a couple small jobs and have an SVX to fix already there.
THIS is going to ge a VERY 'buzy' spring! Thank GOD!!

Re: Farm, 2011

We moved OT's 'spare' SVX out of the 'danger zone'. The tree that it was parked under is dead, stands 100 feet high and there was a 4 inch thick branch laying 6 feet in front of the SVX.
THAT tree will fall down friday evening! Husqvarna sharpen up for the occasion!
We spent all day saturday cleaning my shop. I was SUPPOSED to be working on OT's polo. Tom, forgive me!
Randy is the most willing person that has EVER been there! No matter WHAT I start on, Randy is jumping in!
We were so involved it 'protecting' things, getting things moved to the 'work' areas, and cleaning up the shop, it amazed me that we got as much done as we did!
The farm is a 'But First' place at this time.
I wanted to move some cars, 'but first' we had to get the rollback running. We wanted to clean the shop, but FIRST we had to get the power turned on. We wanted to get the power turned on, But FIRST we had to get an inspection agency down to 'check' the meter socket, since the former tennant stole the meter.
We wanted to use the house, but first, we had to remove 3 truckloads of trash. ETC!!
We did get the shop 80% cleaned. The big shop is clean, the little shop is 80%, the 'booth' is 90% clean. We are almost ready to go 'BALLS TO THE WALL'!
We have an electrician showing up at dawn on saturday to help me get the well turned on, and help me get the rest of the house powered up.
At this time, if I set a car on fire welding, I have to run to the creek and get water! I could have a hose laying there, BUT FIRST I have to fix the well!
Know what I mean?
No matter WHAT, there is SOMETHING else that needs done FIRST!
