Re: 1996 SVX transmission

Hey Iceman is this transmission still available. I will have my tranny checked in the next few days but most likely will need another one. If it still works I might take it. Thanks.

Mike

Yes the tranny is still available. Lots of nibbles but no sale yet.

Shipping just about anywhere runs $160-$200 the closer to denver the cheaper.

Re: 1996 SVX transmission

Hey Iceman, I am interested in this transmission also. If it is still available could you please qoute shipping to 94598?

My recently purchased '92 Teal w/ 126K has a slipping second transmission (~35K on it). This is after my first '92 went through 2 transmissions and I gave up on it.

Thanks!

Closest freight terminal to you is San Leandro 94577, showing 26 miles from your zip. You would need to pick it up there unless you have a business address with a forklift.

Cost is $165 through Vitran, which I have never used, or $175 through USF Reddaway.

Re: 1996 SVX transmission

I have an aftermarket trans cooler that was installed on this car that I will throw in for free. It's nothing special, but it's another testament that this transmission was likely properly taken care of.

Thanks for the quotes. Which ever company you want would be fine with me.

I would like to purchase it, how do you want the transaction handled?

I will PM you my e-mail and phone number.

Anyone with tips on installing / locating the trans cooler they would be much appreciated. I am going to search and look at the How-To section more closely for things I should know!
