I'm not big on the stereos anymore but that is a very nice install. Love the humps and the thru-way.

I have to say you did one hell of a nice job. It looks great. But I would never in a million years do this to my car.

I'm afraid to ask where the passengers are supposed to sit.

Hands down, that is the best job I have ever seen on an SVX in regards to stereo equipment. Did you take any pictures of the process of making it??

I've still got my stock back seat in, and I'd consider it kinder to stick a third person in the trunk than back there!

That's some very clean work.

Very nice install. Obviously it's now a 2-seater car, but I've never considered the SVX's back bench practical.

I completely agree! When I sat in the backseat of my friends stealth, his elbow would slam into my knee every time he shifted...very annoying.

Re: replaced backseat with subs and amp. whatcha think?

thanks for the comments fellas. its nice hearing em. yeah i had the car for a couple years and i think i only ever had 1 person get into the backseat. figured since i didnt need it i could keep my trunk and still do a pretty decent system. sorry i didnt even think to take pitcures of the building process, but i probably ended up building it 3 times after i had to redue peices to fix stuff. oh well. it was fun. laters.

Re: replaced backseat with subs and amp. whatcha think?

Very clean setup.

How's it sound? I imagine you dont need to turn it up too loud since its right next behind you. Do you keep it in the garage or plan to daily drive it? You may want to invest in some dark tint or create some sort of cover/lid to hide the subs and amp.

Ever seen the "back seat" in a Lexus SC (aka Toyota Soarer). It's more of a padded beer shelf than anything, you could probably fit a car seat back there, but the back of the front seat, touches the bottom cushion of the rear seat. To move the front seat forward enough to allow someone's legs to fit back there, I felt like I was driving a clown car. Not to mention the fact there is NO headroom unless the top is down.

I'm thinking back to the scene from "Private Parts" where Stern had the caller straddle the stereo while he hummed into the microphone...

Very nice install, simple and clean, not ricey.
