noisy brakes

So i was doing some qtr miles the other night and in the braking area i was getting a rythmic drumming noise, i'm assuming its when they get some temperature in them. The noise increases the longer you keep pressure on the pedal but otherwise they are quiet in normal driving on the street. Could it be a minor crack or a crazed surface on the rotor that opens up when hot ? or glazed pads. Any ideas ?

cam

PS It did a 16.25 ET i thought it would be quicker than that

If you have time to pull the Rotors, then I would check for Warping.
Pretty simple, and just like checking the heads. Lay a straightedge of some sort across the surface, and look for daylight between the surface, and the straightedge.
Heavy car + Heavy Braking = wear, or warping.
