No problem. It's easy to forget that most (sane) people don't spend 1/3 of their time at work staring directly at real bright lights

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

Do any of you that have bought these kits have a variation in light color towards the top of the beam pattern? The HID's I have now have a small yellowish tint at the very top of the pattern where it peaks. You can kind of see it in the pic.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

A side effect of the projectors is that at the edges of the beam you can get some "rainbowing" or colors appearing much like a prism. That's probably all it is.

It is much more common on older projectors and ones that were not designed for HID's.

I got mine today. They shipped me 9006's instead of 9005's.
Terrific.

I have HID conversion kits on 2 SVXi, one 97, one 92. I get the slight rainbow effect on 1 kit, the other is pure white/blue. Although they are both 9006 kits, the bulbs are different, and positioned differently in the plastic bases. Also, being different brands, could the power supply be the cause of the difference in color ...?
On the $80 Ebay kit, the bulbs are fitted to a drilled out 9006 base, and off center...Are these $50 kits dedicated 9006 bases made for the bulb they are using, or drilled out "retrofits"?

Terrific.
9006 is the correct bulb for the low beams but if you really did want the 9005 just call them and they'll fix it. Don't PM or email them, they don't check those very often.

iirc tiv0's were a molded plastic base. They looked like the were specifically made.

I did want 9005's. I already have HID low beams from OT. I'll try calling. I had 2 confirmation emails that had 9005's spec'd. When they sent the actual invoice it had 9006's on it and I emailed then but didn't get an answer.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

Got mine today. I'm very pleased with the quality and price for these kits. They are awsome!!!! They also sent me the DDM ballasts (very tiny) instead of the slightly bigger apexcone ballasts by accident but im not complaining
